Senior Pentagon officials are concerned that Israel could carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities before the end of the year, an action that would have enormous security and economic repercussions for the United States and the rest of the world.
A senior defense official told ABC News there is an "increasing likelihood" that Israel will carry out such an attack, a move that likely would prompt Iranian retaliation against, not just Israel, but against the United States as well.
The official identified two "red lines" that could trigger an Israeli offensive. The first is tied to when Iran's Natanz nuclear facility produces enough highly enriched uranium to make a nuclear weapon. According to the latest U.S. and Israeli intelligence assessments, that is likely to happen sometime in 2009, and could happen by the end of this year.

Did someone just INVENT Islam? What’s your opinion?
As a person who loves democratic Secular Humanism (see SecularHumanism.org for a positive alternative to mysticism) I don’t’ believe in “Satan”, but more and more people are starting to ponder the question “did someone like him just invent Islam?” Or did Mohammad himself possibly invent Islam to increase his own sexual, political and economic power? Please tell us what YOU think.
1. Mohammad admitted that some of what he originally preached was actually from “Satan”.
He later retracted those messages when it didn’t suit him. The Satanic Verses
2. Kill those who leave the cult.

3. Sex with kids is good.
Sure sounds like something ”Satan” would do. Mohammad is “the perfect example of human behavior”, and he had sex with a 9 year old Aisha, when he was 56, and no Muslims today seems willing to condemn Mohammad for having sex with a kid (Ahadith Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236 ). 5. Stone to death people who have sex outside of marriage.

How can we help Islamic culture catch up to Western culture?

Read the following list of just some of the improvements that of Islamic culture could undertake, and you'll never feel that Western culture is inadequate:
-Death (yep, death) to people who convert out of Islam.
-Death to adulterers.
-Death to gays.
-Muslim women can't marry a non-Muslim man (Quran 2:221.)

-A totalitarian, 7th century, supremacist, apartheid-like political system (Sharia law!)

-Non-Muslims can't adopt a Muslim orphan.

According to Ahn, the gulag population is at grave risk: "By my own experience, I know how little the government cares about the fate of those who live in the labour camps. Polls show MANY Muslims support terrorism….how can we help them change?
There seem to be a lot of people who think that only a small percentage of Muslims favor the world's #1 terrorist (Osama Bin Laden). Unfortunately, that is not true. Muslims have committed 3500% more terrorism...what positive steps can we take to help them change?
Unfortunately, on a per capita basis, our Islamic friends have committed about 3500% more deadly acts of terrorism than non-Muslims have committed:
1. 90% of terrorist acts in the last few years have been committed by Muslims (just read the news, or see "The List" at www.TheReligionOfPeace.com.) This is nine times as much as all the non-Muslims put together.
2. Muslims only make up about 20% of the world's population (1.3 billion of 6.5 billion), so there are four times as many non-Muslims as Muslims.
3. Nine times four is 36, which is, technically, 3500% more.
In light of all the bodies being blown up to the shouts of "Allah Ackbar!", critics of Islam are jokingly referring to it as "The Religion of Pieces."
What is needed for "The Religion of Violence" to become "The Religion of Peace" is for the calls to violence in the Islamic texts to be removed. An Islamic reformation needs to take place, or the carnage will simply continue unabated, as it has for 1400 years.
One suggestion is to simply start by removing Qur'an 9:111, which says for Muslims to fight non-believers. Why in 1400 years have they not replacing it with a verse that says "love thy neighbor"?

1. 90% of terrorist acts in the last few years have been committed by Muslims (just read the news, or see "The List" at www.TheReligionOfPeace.com.) This is nine times as much as all the non-Muslims put together.
2. Muslims only make up about 20% of the world's population (1.3 billion of 6.5 billion), so there are four times as many non-Muslims as Muslims.
3. Nine times four is 36, which is, technically, 3500% more.
